The Reverend Dr. Michael W. Couch is a Philadelphia-native (by way of Mississippi and Alabama). He is a husband and father – and a proud son of the Berachah Baptist Church. He completed his doctorate at New York Theological Seminary with a dissertation on how believers could better serve distressed families and neighborhoods with their public monies by better directing the political process. He is currently a workforce advisor at Pennsylvania Career Link, where he improves families and neighborhoods by giving out jobs, and he is also the honorable, duly elected executive committeeperson of Philadelphia’s 23 Ward.
